Exploring the World of Words: A Remarkable Literary Session held at GKMC-MTI on August 24, 2023
Swabi: The Annual Literary Session of 2023, organized by the Literary Society of Gajju Khan Medical College, was held in the auditorium hall of GKMC-MTI. Distinguished author, poet, and English writer, Dr. Sadiqullah Khan Wazir, graced the occasion as the guest speaker.
Dr. Sadiqullah Khan Wazir delivered an insightful and thought-provoking speech to the participants, emphasizing the importance of character-building, the significance of literature, and its influence on social movements. He expressively spoke about how literature plays a vital role in shaping character and its relevance in our ever-changing world. Dr. Wazir graciously endorsed and commended the literary activities of the society."
The event was attended by students of GKMC-MTI, doctors, and other administrative officers who appreciated the commendable efforts of the Literary Society in organizing such a splendid event.
Students of GKMC-MTI showcased their poetic talents and acting skills by performing a short play titled "Mind Your Language," which received loud applause from the chief guest and other participants.
Dr. Sadiqullah Khan Wazir presented his latest book, "Ages Gone Ago," which marked his 12th publication, to the Literary Society's students. He also provided insights into the content of his latest work and recited some poetry from the book.
Towards the end of the session, an Appreciation Shield was presented to the Guest Speaker by the Literary Secretary and Pashtu Head, Dr. Fasih-U-Zaman. Appreciation certificates were also distributed among students who actively participated in the event.
