GUIDELINES FOR ETHICAL APPROVAL OF THE RESEARCH PLANS.

    Following steps are to be followed for granting ethical approval

• 1. Submission of research synopsis/proposal to the Institutional Review & Ethical Board Technical Review Commitee (IREB-TRC), Gajju Khan Medical College Swabi.
• 2. Technical review by the IREB-TRC.
• 3. Presentation in front of the IREB.
• 4. Second Review by the IREB-TRC. 
• 5. Approval by the IREB on the recomendation of the IREB-TRC in written form and awarding it an ID for online verification.
• NOTE:
• i. The IREB approval will be issued before data collection. Retrospective approval of research plan wont be entertained
• ii. The IREB Proforma must be filled by the principal investigator.
• iii. The IREB will be responsible for periodically looking into safety of ongoing projects where interventional trials are going on..
• iv. The IREB meeting will be called after every 2 months.
• v. Usual response time will be 12 weeks.
• vi. The IREB approval will be required for all the research work under the ambit of MTI Swabi.
