GUIDELINES FOR ETHICAL APPROVAL OF THE RESEARCH PLANS.

FOLLOWING STEPS ARE TO BE FOLLOWED FOR GRANTING ETHICAL APPROVAL

• 1. Submission of research synopsis/proposal to the research planning and development cell, Gajju Khan Medical College Swabi.
• 2. Technical review by the research planning and development cell.
• 3. Presentation in front of the institutional review & ethical board (IREB).
• 4. Approval by the IREB in written form and awarding it an ID for online verification.
• NOTE:
• i. The IREB approval will be issued before data collection. Retrospective approval of research plan wont ne entertained
• ii. The IREB form must be filled by the principal investigator (PI).
• iii. The IREB will be responsible for periodically looking into safety of ongoing projects where interventional trials are going on..
• iv. The IREB meeting will be called after every 2 months.
• v. Usual response time will be 12 weeks.
• vi. The IREB approval will be required for all the research work under the ambit of MTI Swabi.
